Will India Ever Host The Olympics ?

The Olympics is an unmatched experience; an event like no other. As athletes from the world unite with an abounding sense of patriotism to see their long-held dreams bear results, it is the onus of the host city to meet their expectations and provide them with the very best. 

India has often expressed a desire to host the Olympics.

India is in a race for hosting 2036 Olympics. India had also showed interest in hosting 2030 Asian Games, 2026 Youth Olympic Games.

The Gujarat government has begun engaging with the International Olympic Committee (IOC) for hosting the 2036 Summer Olympic Games in Ahmedabad and the committee members are scheduled to visit the complex in 2025.

The Gujarat government is in the process of building a large sports complex in Ahmedabad, keeping in mind the possibility of India hosting the first ever Summer Olympic Games in 2036. 

Indian Olympic Association (IOA) President Narinder Batra has revealed that the country is looking at a multi-centre bid to host the 2036 Olympic and Paralympic Games after disclosing that Ahmedabad would be his choice to host the Opening Ceremony.
Batra claimed that the country has already opened a dialogue with the International Olympic Committee (IOC) about hosting the Games. Olympic Games can be hosted in three or four cities in India, and the IOA is in talks with the IOC about India's possible bid for 2036. 

The chances of India hosting the Olympics in 2036 were bright but admitted the nation faced tough competition with Doha in Qatar and Jakarta in Indonesia among other Asian cities having already expressed an interest.
